Subject: PHP Book
Hi,

as there are quite a few PHP cracks here:

could anyone recommend a good book on PHP? I already know the basics and wrote some scripts, but i guuess all of that is either bad style or insecure or both.
Any suggestions? The book should be in german or english language.

Thanks for your reply. I tested my page on your site and I got the same error. I didn't save it though because I didn't want to mess things up ;-), if you want to take a look at it, tell me where to save it. (my wiki isn't editable by the public, we made bad experiences)
It seems to me as if I only can use a certain amount of markers in the map.

Unfortunately I cannot upgrade my PHO installation because I have no root access to the web server.

Subject: Parsing Error?!
Hi,

i have been using the Google Maps Plugin for quite a while. Now I have discovered a strange bug: New entries won't render the Dokuwiki Syntax into html, the Dokuwiki-Code gets displayed without rendering.
As I am not sure if this is a Dukuwiki bug, a Google Maps Plugin Bug or just a self-made error I didn't file a Bug-Report.

When entering a new Marker at Google Maps I geht the follwing output:

Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Compilation failed: regular expression too large at offset 0 in /is/htdocs/wp1046126_6EF1R38QFG/www/wiki/inc/parser/lexer.php on line 115

Any Ideas? Or should I better Post this in the mailing list?

Quote by andi:
What do you mean with "search engine records"? Having spiders triggering the the indexer webbug isn't a bad thing.
When searching for keywords that match my wiki at Yahoo, I don't find the actual pages but links to /lib/exe/indexer.php. (try seaching for "farbmaus rattenmilbe" at yahoo.com)Als the webbug is in an <img>-Tag, nofollow probably won't do the trick. Maybe I'll try rewriting indexer.php to indexer.gif or something like that.

Thanks for your help!

Hi,
is there a simple way to add rel="nofollow" to the Actionlinks of Dokuwiki and the "Webbug" indexer.php? I am having troubles with search engine spiders (Yahoo Slurp). Slurp seems to follow every single links and generates only a lot of garbage search engine records looking like http://example.com/lib/exe/indexer.php?id=foo&1165426714
I know that Slurp ist a particularly stupid robot, but I dont want to exclude my Site from Yahoo. So: where can I edit this?

  Okay, I am stupid. I used "chmod a+r" instead of chmod a+rw" for the data directory.....

Subject: Page editing impossible after upgrade
Hi,

i just upgraded a dokuwiki installation to the latest stable Version, now i have encountered a strange phenomenon: i cannot edit any existing pages, i only can view the source. I can create new pages and edit them afterwards, but editing existing ones (before the upgrade) does not work.
I am using an Admin-Account.

Any Ideas?

Thanks, I already figured out the Opensearch stuff, works perfectly.

Oh well, the old Mozilla Search also works, the results in the sidebar are more or less a gadget, it is not that important. ;-)

Subject: Mozilla Search Plugin
Hi,

i am trying to create search plugins for Mozilla, Seamonkey, Firefox etc. for my Wiki. Has anyone done this before? The search itself works, but I just can't figure out how to create a working Results list (when using the search sidebar in Seamonkey). Does anyone know whicht tags to fill in to make this work?

Danke!

The missing sidebar in minima doesn't seem to have anything to do with the new blog plugin. I have the same problem here. I guess, minima just doesn't work with the current RC....
