(developer of markdowku here, thank you btw for using it)
The problem is simple, it seems: Underscores are required for Markdown. Though I don't like underscores being used in Markdown, to be compatible, it has to be that way. Unfortunately, I also don't have that much time currently, so I cannot support you with this case until May.
The sort number is always chosen to be either before or after some parts of the original Dokuwiki syntax which would override or conflict with the Markdown syntax.

If you tell me how the behaviour should be, then I can see if it is possible to patch Markdowku accordingly.

Subject: Why a login for the template poll?
Today the poll for the next template Anika Henke wants to convert starts. I just wanted to vote for my favourite, but then I saw: It requires registration. Blabla, privacy concerns vs. spam protection, but the problem is: My plan was to just pass the poll on to everybody using our wiki atm, so that they can tell which one they would like. Looking at the templates and voting for one you like is fast, but registering, etc., requires more work and some/many of the users of our wiki wouldn't like that.

I know that's not your primary concern, but I assume that you certainly lost some votes because of that.

Subject: [Binky] Monobook plugin without sidebar for logged out users
I recently updated my wiki to Binky. Before, I used the monobook plugin. But now, after the update (and also updating monobook), there is no sidebar anymore for users not logged in. If you log in, everything looks fine, but for users not logged in, there is only the Login link.

Do you know what could have caused this? With the dokuwiki template, the sidebar shows up without problems.
