What, exactly, do you want to do with those Word documents in the wiki, and what do you mean by "managing" them in a Wiki environment?

One would hope they plan to convert them into wiki pages...

You should open a bug report on the template's issue tracker.

Should it have an underscore like other templates?

No, the template here is a normal page that you can create through the wiki. No need to do anything directly on the server. I don't know how to help you further as it works for me as expected with exactly your settings.

I have to admit I'm puzzled by this. To dig into this further one would need to debug this on the server to try to see at which part the delay and high CPU is caused.

Your CSS isn't loaded correctly. I doubt that this is related to the move plugin at all.

Check the output of lib/exe/css.php and your logs for any error messages.

Your example works fine for me. Are you sure you have a page called testtemplate in the root namespace that contains your template syntax?

I would expect page playground:Europe_JWC or playground:europe_jwc  to be created?

Yeah. Works exactly like that for me here.

Okay, that's interesting indeed. It takes nearly a second for the server to simply respond that the image has not been changed since last time. All that time is spent waiting for the answer. So the problem is at the server side. We need to know more about your setup:

  • what plugins do you have installed
  • what auth backend are you using
  • what kind of server hardware is this
  • what PHP version are you using
  • what webserver are you using
  • what OS is this on
  • is there some mechanism that might throttle requests (like some security or bandwidth management stuff)
  • whatever else might be different from other setups

Can you post a Screenshot of chrome's network tab in the developer tools? would be helpful to have some numbers to see what is taking so long. especially the time to first byte for each of the images.

Has anyone got an idea how to solve the problem or at least a hint where to search first?

Check that image resizing actually works (sounds like it isn't and all images are downloaded in possibly large resolution).

Check if the gdlib PHP extension is installed and enabled.

Consider switching to imagemagick for image resizing as it is usually more efficient.

You're trying to cross boundaries between a desktop and a web application there which is usually not possible. You might be able to achieve what you want with Google Sheets or a similar Online Spreadsheet.
