I don't know if there is a French word for it, but now I know what it is and what to search for.

Thanks to the many Anglicisms in German, the "flag" in German computer science has been there for ages.

Falls es dafür keinen weniger trickreichen Weg gibt, dürfte man das wahrscheinlich mittels CSS bewerkstelligen können. Soweit ich das im Moment überblicke, dürften dafür wohl alle Voraussetzungen gegeben sein.

It's a shame why would it be restricted to a side bar?
The use of the Indexmenu plugin is definitely not limited to the sidebar.

Try to uncheck the doindent option in the settings of the Include plugin. Then the headings are taken over unchanged when including.

how can I put any arbitrary Unicode character into a table or page

I am not sure, but I suspect this is a question related to the browser technology. So the question is: How do I enter any unicode character into an input field in a browser. I think this question has little to do with DokuWiki.

Put it into the userall.css file, then it will appear below all styles within that same block of CSS.

Thank you for this very important note!

So that such a problem does not reappear: Should we probably refer to userall.css instead of userstyle.css in this forum by default? Am I correct?

Quote by mforkel:
When entered into userall.css, the !important does not seem to be required:

This story also proves once again: Who (like me above) uses !important in productive use has usually not yet understood something important.  :-D

Please follow my advice given above and familiarize yourself with how selectors work and what you can do with them (it is a lot!).

Edit:
Because now it does not work anymore.
As long as you work on the principle of trial and error, this will happen to you again and again. Believe me, it's better to understand what you're doing. Even if it is a bit more difficult at the beginning.

Would it be possible to add a "nolines" option to the WRAP plugin? One might want separator lines on some pages and no lines on others...

You can add a class to a Wrap: <WRAP myclass >... </WRAP> and style it via CSS:

.wrap_myclass [...if necessary, further selectors here...] {
    [... mystyle ...];
}

(That is the core competence of the wrap plugin. Additionally in combination with predefined classes)

("Ungültiger Eigenschaftsname")

Ok, sorry, so my statement was wrong. I still use an old browser tool out of habit, where something like that just doesn't appear.

Ok, I found the problem. There is a bug (at least it's a bug for me) in the system, obviously (that is the only plausible explanation) the CSS definitions of the WRAP plugin are integrated into the global CSS file (the entire CSS cascade) after the content of the USERSTYLE.CSS. Therefore, it is not enough (as usual) to create a selector with the same specificity. You can cover up the problem with an !important (not a nice method but it works):

.dokuwiki .wrap_col2, .dokuwiki .wrap_col3, .dokuwiki .wrap_col4, .dokuwiki .wrap_col5, .dokuwiki .wrap_colsmall, .dokuwiki .wrap_colmedium, .dokuwiki .wrap_collarge {
    column-rule: none !important;
}

Edit: Ok, it is not a bug. Rather, it has to do with the different blocks within CSS. See below.

Any suggestions?

The first thing you should do is gain a basic understanding of how HTML and CSS work and work together (and how to interpret what the inspector shows you). To do this, you write an HTML page consisting of a few lines and with one or two CSS rules. Then you look at this with a browser tool. There you can also make test modifications to the CSS rules and you will immediately see the result in the browser window. That is very instructive. And then continue to expand and define more CSS rules and build more complex selectors. You can do a lot of things interactively in browser tools, just experiment a lot.

Otherwise there are tons of introductions and information about HTML, CSS and browser tools on the web.

Strikethrough does not mean invalid, but that this assignment is not used because another has a higher specificity / priority. Anything invalid is not displayed at all because the browser don't understand it and therefore immediately rejected it. (sorry wrong statement) Everything that is displayed in the Inspector is what the browser has understood.

This is a very, very worthwhile investment (especially because you have aesthetic needs), even if it may be a bit difficult to get started.

Once you understand how it works, it is very easy (almost comfortable) possible to make any design changes. You will enjoy it!
Edit: Well, until it becomes very easy, you have to have a lot of practice  :cool:
