I think the search index is updated while surfing through the wiki.

Hi,

There are two possibilities.
1) You change the permissions for the pages that other users may edit. Just give the permissions for each individual.
2) You group your users and give the permissions for the pages for these groups. To add groups, just type a new groupname in the usermanager on every user you want to add in this group.

Maybe the template plugin can help you? This way you can make sure everybody puts the same content in the page

I have no idea about your problem with the indexmenu-plugin, but I can help you with the sidebar ;-)
You have to install another template -> sidebar. To see which templates are available, take a look at: http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki%3Atpl%3Atemplates.
