Hi. Our migration tool is not presently open source.

For boxes, we do have a fix and I edited that page now to remove that note.

For videos, the problem is that the video reference is not included in the export from Wikispaces, when using their DokuWiki export format. :(

CiviHosting is now offering a migration service:

https://civihosting.com/wikispaces-migration/

to migrate Wikispaces sites to DokuWiki. :)

Thanks Atiq4pk.. If i'm going to use the re-write , i wanted it to replace the whole address of "http://ServerA/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=start" with only "ServerA" so basically if user open a browser and type in the address "ServerA", it should direct them to the full URL

Yes, using "Nice URLs" can do that for you. See here: https://www.dokuwiki.org/rewrite

You are correct. When I tried, I got this (edited) message:

Unable to download the file: http://....../files/darkclean-0.1.tar.gz

My initial question remains, however, and now an additional question: If the theme is no longer available, why is that Install button there?

When I view the listing for the darkclean Template from the Search and Install tab of the Extension Manager I see this:

https://i.imgur.com/oi7PyP4.png

and it looks fine to install. But if I visit it's Doc page here https://www.dokuwiki.org/template:darkclean I then see this:

This extension has not been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues.

which gives quite a different impression.

I wonder why this warning is not displayed from within my Extension Manager.

If I search on Google or here on dokuwiki.org for "CKGEdit Plugin" for example, I find this page https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:ckgedit  or I may come to the page of all extensions which are "Tagged with 'wysiwyg'" which is https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugins?plugintag=wysiwyg#extensi…

Both of those pages show :

CKGEdit Plugin

WYSIWYG editor based on the CKEditor

But when I search on my own DokuWiki site on the Search and Install tab of the Extension Manager and I search for "CKGEdit" then I see:

ckgedit by Myron Turner

WYSIWYG plugin for Dokuwiki

which is quite different text and confusing for users who don't know that this is indeed the same extension.

WordPress is certainly widely used for simple sites -- it's not just for blogs at all.

In my opinion, however, DokuWiki is also an excellent choice. In many ways, it's easier to use and has less overhead for a small site.
