I'm running DokuWiki Release 2012-10-13 "Adora Belle on a Linux host.
My aim is to build a portable DokuWiki installation (following
http://www.splitbrain.org/blog/2007-12/01-dokuwiki_on_a_stick )
The stick should run on Windows 7.
Unfortunately, there's a length limitation of the pathdepth and filename in Windows 7/NTFS (see
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365247.aspx#maxpath ). So when I'm trying to copy /srv/www/dokuwiki under Windows 7 to the pre-installed stick, I got a problem with long filenames as windows cannot handle them.
How can I solve the problem?
Is there a way to limit filename lengths on Linux? Or a way to convert DokuWiki into a Windows friendly version before copying it's contents to a stick?
