tom-troughton Hello all, I posted a question to an old post made here (https://forum.dokuwiki.org/thread/3891), but no reply and I cannot email the board. I am using the dokuwiki template. Before I put the effort in to figure it I would like an assurance the way to do this applies with the new template. Best wishes, Tom Troughton PS - I do not have php, but I can read it slightly.
turnermm There is probably a better way to do this, but temporarily you might try this: In the 'dokuwiki" template, for <?php include('tpl_header.php') ?> substitute: <?php if($ACT != 'edit') include('tpl_header.php'); ?> You can do the same thing for footer.php.
tom-troughton Good - thanks. Will follow up on printing later after I figure out how this worked. Best wishes, Tom Troughton
tom-troughton Hi, So I just upgraded to Binky, and lost this customisation. Is there somewhere I can put this to override the default behaviour, and not have to keep updating main.php after I upgrade? Something like style.local.ini, but for php? Thanks! Tom
turnermm You could do this: in the conf directory create a file named userstyle.css, and put this css into it: #dokuwiki__top.mode_edit #dokuwiki__header { display:none; !important;} The file userstyle.css will not be deleted with upgrades and should continue to work. This is the better way that had eluded me in my earlier post. See: https://www.dokuwiki.org/config?s[]=userstyle It was this css solution that the earlier thread was referring to.
turnermm You can also remove the footer while editing by adding: [m] #dokuwiki__top.mode_edit #dokuwiki__footer[/m]. Then you would have this: #dokuwiki__top.mode_edit #dokuwiki__header,#dokuwiki__top.mode_edit #dokuwiki__footer { display:none; !important;}
