I've found a plugin called custom buttons that allows lines of marked up text to be added into the edit pane.
I need to add standardised text blocks (with structured data using the data plugin) to allow me to quickly add multiple lines of marked up text.
eg
1) structured titles for taking minutes (date, attendees, agenda, discussions, resulting actions)
2) table showing software details: title, version, install files location, supplier, license, install date, install notes, etc
3) working procedures : procedure name, team responsible, manager responsible, procedure validity dates, location to record any associated logs, etc
4) client contact info : contact name, address, telephone number, contract expiry date, contract ref number, email address etc
Is there a plug in to do this? That way any of the team can quickly add new pages with a standard structure.
Ideally I'm looking at creating a drop down list for the edit page menu that allows the user to choose from a list of files in a particular namespace, these files each being a valid page that is a "blank template" for the element that is to be inserted at the current cursor point. This allows the inserted block of text to be able to include features of any other plugins I've installed.
If there's a plug in that does some of this that I could use as a start point that would be great...
Any suggestions appreciated.
