johnb I've got a new site that needs to go live urgently, and uses the Discussion plugin for comments, that I need to use. I installed the CAPTCHA plugin and it seemed to work, but now rejects correctly entered codes. This may have happened since I updated to rc2013-11-18 "Binky RC2". I wanted to allow people to comment without registering, but without CAPTCHA I get a lot of spam. As a quick fix I set it to only allow comments from registered users, and enabled registration, but overnight have had 75 registrations that are spam. Has anyone found that CAPTCHA doesn't work with the latest version? Any suggestions how I can allow comments without getting spam, that I can enable right now? Almost all the new users have entered a Hotmail address, so I'd make do with a way of blocking registration from specified addresses if that's possible.
johnb They've started registering again tonight. Has anyone got any ideas how I can stop them? I don't want to have to delete loads of users every day.

johnb turnermm:1386648664 wrote Try the preregister plugin. I tried that, and it wasn't recognised as a valid plugin, so obviously doesn't work either! I'm now just getting a few registrations a day, that I can handle. 75 within the first few hours made me think I might have to deal with that many every day!

violetfish Try the preregister plugin. I tried that, and it wasn't recognised as a valid plugin, so obviously doesn't work either! I just installed it on Adora Belle, Weatherwax and Binky, with no problems.
