I'am from Holland, the region is called "Brainport".
Iam not a programmer, in daily working live i'am only a heavy user and some 30 years (sometimes very fanatic) computer enthusiast. Seen a lot, build a lot ( even heavy stuff), people even use it !
I found dokuwiki on the upgrade of my Synology Nas, last week. Read about it and decided to give it a try. Installed it first on a extern windows iis host, converted manually a 10 year old htm (personell information) site to it, installed some different skins, tools and plugins.
Two days later everything worked, no problems occurred. Hastle free !! I love it.
Later on i decided to deploy dokuwiki on my synology, upgraded to binky and then copied skinns, tools and plugins from the iis server to it. That easy, hassle free.
I have almost my entire live digitized, and i loved it that way, but have troubles finding things back some times. My wife and kids dont even know whats there, so this will be a major project for a private dokuwiki.
I would like to thank the developers and the team for this very fine piece of work.
In the next few weeks i will propose Dokuwiki as a major candidate for the upgrade of our (also 10 year old and htm) internal knowledge site. A wiki was already on my mind for some years. This will be a much bigger challange, involving many people, but something has to be done about it.
Cheers!
