srd Hi. I downloaded the Stable English version, which generated a .gz file. Inside this file is dokuwiki-de06047915ab0d0e8c04d093b4e15099. It contains no file extension. I don't know what to do with it. Is it meant for Linux, and not Windows? Thanks.
stephane-ascoet I think the problem could be linked with the awful will of window$ to hide extensions.
srd That's not correct. The file literally has no file extension. Windows doesn't know what to do it because of that.
turnermm This happens with IE. Just change the name of the file from xxxx.gz to xxxx.tgz and open it with winrar. When you download these files using IE it gives you a choice: SaveAS, you can change the file name there before the download starts.
turnermm I don't have access to the download page. You could ask this question on the mailing list where someone with access will see it.
ach ach wrote I opened a bug report here: https://github.com/splitbrain/download.dokuwiki.org/issues/7 And it's fixed. :)
alinea I'm not sure it's the same but when I download binky (basic or with personnalization), I have error in extract. Problem with extension but rename in other don't change anything. I'm on linux, use command. No problem with download of Snapshot. But I want see Binky ;)
turnermm On linux you should have no trouble downloading from the download page using either Chrome or Firefox. Otherwise go to the github release page. There you can download binky either as .tgz or .zip file.
