dokuwikirocks I'm hoping to allow edit access to the "drafts" namespace and read access to the "official" namespace and then push draft pages to official pages as necessary. Is there a good way to do this besides copying and pasting from one to the other?
samwilson You could use the move plugin. That would mean that only admins could move things from draft to official.
dokuwikirocks I'm getting the following when I try to install the move plugin via Plugin Management: "There was a file copy error while attempting to install files for plugin move: the disk could be full or file access permissions may be incorrect. This may have resulted in a partially installed plugin and leave your wiki installation unstable." But my permissions look good and my disk is not full. drwxr-xr-x 2 apache apache 4096 Feb 18 14:25 conf BTW, will this plugin allow me to move a page in namespace "draft" to namespace "official" but keep a copy in draft for further editing?
turnermm If you got this error for one plugin which had never been previously installed, then you will probably get it for all plugins downloaded using the plugin manager. Make sure that lib/plugins is writable to the web server.
rene Move = moving not copying, there will be only one copy of a file. Workaround : Instead of moving the autohrized person can copy the contents of a page from draft to official. Copying is easy but you have to find the official page first. This can be solved by including a link to the official page on the draft page.
dokuwikirocks turnermm, I bet it's lib/plugins, thank you. Rene, does that mean copying and pasting the contents of one page to the next?
turnermm You might be able to use the openas plugin. It will let you save the contents of one page to another, with each save the contents of the 'official' is updated.
ach Although they are doing things differently than the workflow you described, there are also plugins for drafts, like the publish, daftdrafts and underconstruction plugins. See all plugins tagged with "moderation".
