ach Or you can simply use a farm. That way you would not need to maintain to wiki instances, but can run multiple wiki with just one instance (all plugins and templates included).
fredat99 Judging from the way DokuWiki works I guess this should pose no problems but I thought I would ask first and try later. Briefly, what I have in mind is this - I am currently in the process of creating a wiki to document my project. This is going well and I have spent a fair bit of time configuring the look & feel of the Wiki, finding the right plugins etc. What I want to do now is create a second wiki that uses the same plugins, the same look and feel etc but... is a private wiki that will be used for internal discussions by people in our company. I thought I would be able to get away with a. Archiving the whole of the current wiki. b. Expanding the archive inside another folder c. Going into the pages folder and deleting all content pertinent to the original wiki - i.e. everything except start.txt + the playground and wiki folders d. Browsing to the new wiki, logging in (same admin login I imagine) and making it private Brief question - will this work or do I have to do a whole new manual setup all over again. I should perhaps mention that all of this is on a Ubuntu 12.04 box.
violetfish There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to do this, but the meta and cache directories should probably be cleaned out, since this is a new dokuwiki. Another option is to unpack a clean copy of Dokuwiki, give it a new name (i.e. new directory) and copy your conf and plugins directories over to the new dokuwiki.
