I recently installed xampp so I could work on my wiki pages off-line. It works great (so easy to install), but there is one annoying problem. The service provider I use runs unix servers, and my home machine is a Windows machine, so there is the usual CR/LF NL issue. When I open a page locally for editing there are extra end-of-lines. For most things this is just an annoyance, but it screws up the lists and tables.
Is there some way to change this so I can move files back and forth between my local machine and the server and not have to strip out the extra linefeeds each time?

DokuWiki should strip Windows linefeeds automatically when loading the files. If there are really problems with tables, please submit a bugreport and attach an example page.

The problem I'm having is that when I load a file for editing locally (windows machine) and that file was originally created in a unix environment, it converts the unix CR to NL/LF. The result is that I end up with a blank line between each original line. It is a problem for tables and lists because a blank line now separates them. The table and lists are working as they should.
It only happens when I open a file for editing.
