Yup, the starterbootstrap template doesn't support it. You can either
* open a feature request in the template's issue tracker
* use a different template
* adjust the template code yourself (not recommended if you'd like to get future updates)
* use a namespace plugin (not recommended either as the two existing ones are very outdated, not sure if they will work)
I updated the
sidebar setting page to reflect which templates actually support the core sidebar setting. (The starterbootstrap template is the only one out of those meagre 16 which doesn't support sidebars per namesapce.)
If you'd like to adjust the template code, just change the following line in the template's
main.php
<?php $sidebar_contents = bootstrap_tpl_get_sidebar($conf['sidebar'], false); ?>
to
<?php $sidebar_contents = tpl_include_page($conf['sidebar'], 0, 1); ?>
