red-chaos1 So here at my job, a dokuwiki has been set up running on IIS by the current IT staff who I joined a few months ago. I've been tasked with documenting procedures and other things to help make the wiki more useful. Along the way I've been working with under the hood features as well. The current one is abbreviations/acronyms. I've followed the directions for creating a custom one. Using Notepad++ I took the existing acronyms.conf and wiped out all of the existing acronyms (leaving the # Acronyms. and extra line break), added a few of my own, made sure it was saved as UTF-8 and named acronyms.local.conf. None of the added acronyms gets the dotted underline or tooltip. I've cleared the browser cache, used different browsers, forced a complete page refresh, and yet nothing changes. I'm fairly certain I followed all directions, so what have I missed?
klap-in You tried to expire the cache by resaving the Configuration Manager as well? (For editing the conf files of e.g. acronyms i appreciate using the plugin https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:confmanager , but i don't think that it makes a difference for your issue)
red-chaos1 You tried to expire the cache by resaving the Configuration Manager as well? I had not. I just did that now and voila! It works. Glad it was a simple fix. Thank you! :)
