I'm not familiar with regular expressions, so I've been pulling and modifying every example I've been able to find anywhere to try and hide the things I want hidden, and for the life of me, I cannot get this to work.
I have one page, sidebar, that I want hidden. I also want to hide the playground (why isn't this hidden by default?), and the talk namespace. I can usually hide the sidebar, but not the playground or the talk namespace. I've tried the simple (sidebar|talk|playground) string, for example, and that'll hide the sidebar, but not the other two. I also tried (talk:.*|playground:.*|sidebar), which again hides only the sidebar.
What do I need to put in there to hide all three things?
Edit: Even when I try something silly like .* it only hides pages (all the pages, in this example); it seems that no matter what I put in, I cannot hide an entire namespace. I can hide all the pages within said namespace, but the namespace still appears in the sitemap.
