I recently set up a DokuWiki at my company. Its running on an old old machine (x64 athalon 2 core machine with 3gb memory) with Windows 7, Apache 2.4, and php 5.6. The server is only available on my company's network. For access I go to the browser and type
http://servername and the doku wiki start page pops up. I use IE11 for browsing my wiki because my company has a ton of data on server shares.
I'm not using .htaccess and instead using the location match method for security. I'm using the internal clean page names.
My problem is that if I leave wiki open on one of the pages for maybe 3 minutes the next link I click will not load. The tab on the browser will sit with its loading icon spinning and saying 'waiting for servername' on the page tab. It will stay 'waiting' for as long as I let it. Eventually I hit stop and try to click any link again and it will hang with the 'waiting for servername' issue again. If I go through 3 link click and 'stop' loading cycles on the 4th try of the link click the page will load. Sometimes I can continually click links until the page loads. After the page finally loads I can click on every link in the wiki and it will load lightening fast, and I can keep following links until I let a page sit.
Honestly, I'm not sure if this is a doku problem, a php problem, an apache problem, or a internal network problem.
I was hoping you guys had some ideas.
Thanks,
-Alex
Edit: Maybe I should also note that at the current time I am practically the only one using the wiki. My plan was that after I get it setup I would move it to a better machine so that we could have no issues when it has about 50 people using it at once.
