Thanks for all your hard work creating DokuWiki and thank you to all the contributors. I have been testing different wiki software for 3 months now, and I am narrowing down now and I gotta tell ya, DokuWiki is a quick learn, easy to start up, great interface for plugins, and a straightforward admin panel. I love the fact that we have Vector and Monobook, and Bootstrap too, the Vector is what attracted me to Mediawiki, but the one drawback (a major drawback) Mediawiki has is lack of Wysiwyg. For our group that cannot work, and I was so overjoyed to see a couple Wysiwyg options in the plugins list. I am currently using ckgedit for our wiki and it's a dream to use.
We have two sites at
www.thepatriotwoodworker.com and at
www.thepatriotwoodworker.com/forums where our members are completely used to a Wysiwyg, to throw them in to syntax would have been a disaster. So thank you DokuWiki for allowing the interface to have a Wysiwyg, and thank you Myron Turner for ckgedit!
I am thrilled to be here. We are at www.thepatriotwoodwiki.org for our wiki. I just got it up and running today, I'll be up all night having fun with it.
Cheers!
