Oh, I really dislike having to ask a question on the first day...
The executive summary is that I have installed DokuWiki without issue, played with it to get familiar with several aspects and like what I see. I appreciate the straight-forward nature of DokuWiki.
Let's say that I'm on a page
You are here : home > sports > football
Yes, I have changed my starting point from "Start" to "Home". I'm wondering if that, perhaps, is the root of my problem, which is to create a page under football, let's say "offense" and "defense".
On my football page, I create a link to the offense
Offense
however the link goes to home > sports > offense
No problem, I thought, as I can use the current location as the starting point just as in most operating systems:
Offense
but this has the same result linking to home > sports > offense
Oddly, referring to the parent with a double-dot moves the link up one level. If I use
Offense[/b]
the link will go to home > offense
Of course if I give it a fully qualified link, all is well:
Offense
Did my changing of Start to Home cause this behavior or am I misinterpreting the instructions?
The following link is what I have been using as my reference material:
https://www.dokuwiki.org/namespaces
Besides the aforementioned starting point change, the only plug-ins that I have installed are "move" and "searchIndex".
Thank you in advance for any insights or just telling me where I messed up!
Dan
