I'm making a historical wiki for our observatory and one of the main problems that I have stumbled against is the sheer overload of images. Now I'd like to be able to make a nice gallery, but this eems to be only possible for a namespase of similarly named images. Now all historical images are in the namespace history: but I only want to display lets say 5 images (out of 100+)
So I was wondering if it is possible to say gallery: {{gallery-> image1, image2, image54, image222, imagex}}
The images all have very different names, usually the persons on it and a date.
Cheers

Maybe I am missing something, but if you want to list all the images individually anyway, then why use the gallery plugin in the first place? As I understand it, the benefit of the plugin is to not have to link images (in an entire namespace for example) onto a page separately, but to have the plugin do that for you...
Alternatively, you might want to look into the titlesort and datesort options, which lets you display images based on the EXIF information stored in the image file.
