I've got a work log which is a single page (per month) that I add dated notes to each day, each with a title of the days date. *
If I edit the titled section for today rather than the whole page for the month it often appears that if I don't frequently manually save then my edits are lost (eg when I'm called away from my desk) and, when clicking save, I'm returned to the wiki home page with no changes saved. On returning to the work log page neither my most recent edits nor the option to recover draft appear.
I'm currently testing to confirm if I get the same problem when editing the whole page...
Is anyone else seeing this? Is there a better way to keep a log of work done ?
* I'm working towards using bureaucracy to create these as structured data entries so I can list by day, by client, by work type etc
I'm guessing that if I'm completing a form (eg in bureaucracy) rather than editing a page directly where ajax can autosave for me then I'm going to lose the automatic draft saving feature?

things I've noticed:
deleting text doesn't appear to trigger a draft update.
I left the page for 4 mins, no updated draft saved (neither in the notification text on the page nor in the draft file in the filesystem).
When I typed new characters the draft and draft saved time updated
Left it for 4 mins again
When I deleted text (or highlighted and applied the <code> tags to some text using "custom button" neither the draft date on the page changed nor the text file in the file system. Pressing any key on the keyboard to add a character immediately resaves the draft...
