aincite When you and your team discuss changes on your Dokuwiki that are not relevant to the articles themselves, how do you solve it? Do you attach a forum to the site, or is there any other way to have a "site development" discussion that is not public?
yinken How about creating a namespace like "development", making that only accessible to the admin user-group and then using the discussion plugin?
aincite Testing it out a bit.... Started using ACL so that is one step in the right direction. Again, namespaces is a logic that eludes me (but I will get there), if I use the discussion plugin it is for a single page that I can control with ACL, but if I want an entire folder to have discussions on different topics, well...
yinken What you could do is use the bureaucracy plugin to create new pages and add the ~~DISCUSSION~~ Tag to the template you use in that form. That way, when an admin creates a new page with the bureaucracy form, they actually create a new discussion topic. Combine that with something like the pagequery plugin, you can create a section in your wiki that kind of acts like a development forum.
yinken Yes, precisely. It takes some time to get used to how the form, templates and placeholders work together, but once you got the hang of it, you can do some amazing things with it.
aincite Cant we go directly to "amazing things" and skip the content creation and learning curve...? :-D Alrighty, on it. And the pagequery, yet i see a few different ones , maybe this: https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:subjectindex
