Wiki is all about people who contribute. In the most cases, people contribute for free. It means they need to feel affiliation and involvement. The bast way to reciprocate is to mention their efforts and made it public. Come on, people! You know from your personal experience, credits and compliments make you feel good and motivate for contribution.
I gathered link for some close plugin suggestions. Most of it would like to utilize an authors list and achievements:
Combining suggestions with my point of view the features for plugin would be:
* Hall of Fame page with link in the navigation, also available by shortcode (macros) and php functions (to embed in hooks in header, for instance).
* The list of top contributor should be able for embedding multiple times with various parameters, for example: top 10 (20, 100,...) contributors for all time (in last week, month, year, ...), most 10 (20, 100,...) useful editing (without revert) in recent week, (month, year, ...)
* Option to add and remove table column(s)
* Option to remove user(s) from the Hall of Fame (in case of ban or just an admin-creator of wiki, like in my case - I'm not greedy :-) )
* Wrapped in div and css classes in order to apply awesome style to show awesome people
* Sortable table with real names (not only the login) and link to the userpage (could utilize user homepage plugin
https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:userhomepage)
* gravatar support with fallback to linked from facebook (linkedin, twitter, blog, ...) or locally uploaded image.
* Applying badges (uploaded images) for steps in achievements (threshold adjustable in plugin config)
* Maybe some small chart near the name with contribution history of the user
* Embed "Top contributor of the month (week, quarter, year, ...) in to the page (sidebar)
* Newest contributor (need to cheer them up) by editing, creating
* Link to the page with all authors (contributors) of the wiki
Feel free to add the features to the list, since I could miss some crucial point. On the other hand, if the most of the points could be implemented, it would be the most awesome plugin for dokuwiki.
The existing plugins (it is three actually) neither help to cheering up the contributor (poor options, lack of links, uncustomizable output, ...) nor provide human friendly output, or just don't work with Hrun.
*
https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:authorlist - just a list without links and any other cheering information
*
https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:authorstats two optional ugly tables without links and lack of sorting with limited configuration
*
https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:stats - no syntax and doesn't work with my Hrun installation
All other plugins provide different technical and traffic statistics, which irrelevant to the topic.
The
closest thing to the aggregated view on a future plugin I found here

I wish I could know how to create a plugin and deeply understand how dokuwiki works. Alas, I don't. But hope people with top-tier developer skills who created such awesome wiki-engine could make the most useful plugin ever, because
wiki is all about contributors.
