Is there any easy way to comment out a block of source text? I have a bit of blank formatting that I want to keep on the page, so that I can cut-and-paste then fill in as required. In Wikipedia this is done by a <!-- ... --> pair
^ Item 1 | data 11 |
^ Item 2 | data 12 |
| | |
^ Item 1 | data 21 |
^ Item 2 | data 22 |
<!--
| | |
^ Item 1 | |
^ Item 2 | |
-->
but this produces:
+--------+---------+
| Item 1 | data 11 |
| Item 2 | data 12 |
+--------+---------+
| Item 1 | data 21 |
| Item 2 | data 22 |
+--------+---------+
<!--
+--------+---------+
| Item 1 | |
+--------+---------+
| Item 2 | |
+--------+---------+
-->
I've also tried <html> <!-- ... --> </html> and /* ... */ with similar results.
One other question: is it possible to continue a line definition for a table onto separate lines? I was trying to keep multiple field dividers aligned in the source text for clarity, but one big field distorts thing, so it would be handy to restart the definition on the line below.
