Hi
I use dokuwiki on a stick.
I would like to know how do I keep my namesspaces clean
Say I make a namespace TestNameSpace in the Start namespace. I then create a TestPage in the TestNameSpace and put some text in it. After saving Dokuwiki create a TestPage.txt.gz file in TestNameSpace. All good so far.
InstallDir\dokuwiki\data\attic\start\TestNameSpace\TestPage.txt.gz
When I delete the the content of TestPage wiki page and save it the TestPage.txt.gz and TestNameSpace remains. The directory TestNameSpace does not get deleted. I assumed that Dokuwiki would do house keeping like this. I tend to modify the namespaces A LOT so I am afraid that things could become messy.
I am concerned because I want to link to pdf files which I store in a seperate directory structure which I want to match closely to my name spaces. I do not want to check these files into the Dokuwiki media manager since this will cause duplication of a large amount of data i.e. ebooks.
How can I clean up directories of name spaces not used anymore? I am afraid to just delete the directories manually
Thanks for your help

You're looking in the wrong place! The attic keeps old versions of the page, and deleting pages will not change anything there. Instead, try looking in data/pages, where you'll find properly corresponding folders and .txt files.
