medarion Hey, I'm using Dokiwiki Detritus with the default template. I use the indexmenu plugin to show an interactive menu in the sidebar. Unfortunately the sidebar disappers, once I start editing a page. This is unfortunate because I'd like to insert links to other pages with the help of the indexmenu context menu (which is possible in a different and quite old dokuwiki instance I'm using). Is there any way I can make dokuwiki show the sidebar while in editing mode? I wasn't able to find any suitable configuration options. Perhaps somebody can give me a hint whether this is possible at all or if I have to hack the source code.
jl-alice In the file "lib/tpl/dokuwiki/main.php", line 14: $showSidebar = $hasSidebar && ($ACT=='show'); remove or comment: && ($ACT=='show') For example like this: $showSidebar = $hasSidebar; or $showSidebar = $hasSidebar /* && ($ACT=='show') */;
turnermm Look at https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:overlay. This plugin creates an independent pop-up which can be filled with the indexmenu listing and from it you can insert internal links into your current page.

You are aware of the link wizard in the editing toolbar? (Icon: [Image: https://www.dokuwiki.org/lib/exe/fetch.php?tok=c2ffa8&media=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dokuwiki.org%2Flib%2Fimages%2Ftoolbar%2Flink.png]) Yes, I am. For some reason though I find it easier to insert links from the menu I also use for navigating und thus prefer the first solution.
