Hello,
I'm using ckgedit in version 2016-04-17.
When inserting pictures in my text, it happens 5 of 10 times, that the pic is not saved - it simply does not appear after saving.
I didn't find out a rule for that, some appear instantly, others I have to insert a second, maybe a third time, before they are saved and they finally appear.
What could be the problem here?
cheers

Not enough detail.
1. Can you upload images?
2. If so, do they appear in the file browser?
3. if 2, when you select an image from the file browser does it load into the link dialog or do you get a red broken image icon?
4. If you can select an image, does it load into the document after you have selected it?
5. Does it disappear only after you have saved the document?
6. If the latter, does it reappear in the document after you have reloaded the document into the editor?

Hello,
thanks for replying.
1. yes
2. yes
3. it loads, no red broken image icon
4. yes
5. yes, only then
6. no, the pic is nowhere in sight after reloading the document in the editor.
I would have to try a second, sometimes a third time.
plus: it happens only to about 50% of the images i try to insert - i couldn't find a rule yet, for WHAT causes it to fail in the other half.

Reloading what? The browser or the editor? And do they ever show up in the browser? The fact that it's not consistent suggests some kind of misconfiguration. What server is your wiki on?
mrmysterious
Hello again,
Everything from steps 1-4 is perfect.
Pic is correctly inserted in editor. Then I push the save-button.
The site appears and the pic is not there.
I push the edit-button again and there is no trace of the pic in the editor. As if I never inserted it.
I have to repeat that work from the start one more, sometimes two more, in a few cases three more times until
that pic finally shows in the browser (= on the website).
What details do you need to know about the server?

Thank you - then the first thing is to try other browsers.
I'll be back.

Hello - here I am again.
As a result of my long lasting testings it turned out to be firefox causing the problem (somehow).
But that's not a problem for me.
I'm just using Opera from now on if I want to insert pictures. This works fine for me.
Thanks so much for your help.
Cheers

The fact that it works in Opera but not FF suggests a javascript conflict with one of your other plugins. It's rare that these kinds of issues with FF occur, so perhaps you could try to eliminate your other plugins one at a time and see if the problem with FF dissappears. And then perhaps you could report back. Thanks.
