Hi,
You can create a "dynamic" link by the following steps.
Use one of the predefined dokuwiki hooks to inject HTML in one of those locations of your template: https://www.dokuwiki.org/include_hooks (No plugin needed.)
Create the HTML file, e.g. sidebarheader.html
, in your config folder /dokuwiki/conf
.
As previously shown by turnermm, in the HTML file, place an <a>
link and inject the PHP code to echo the current date inside your link, like this:
<a href="http://localhost:8800/doku.php?id=daily:<?php echo date('Y-m-d')?>">Current Daily</a>
In the above line, http://localhost:8800
stands for my dokuwiki-on-a-stick in test mode. If you have an up and running dokuwiki, replace http://localhost:8800
by the URL of your dokuwiki.
Furthermore, the appearance of the link can be styled, using CSS text styling parameters in
/dokuwiki/conf/userall.css
(Create if not existing!), like so:
.sidebarheader { font-size: 150%; color: grey; font-style: italic; }
Enjoy!
