Hi everyone,
I am looking at DokuWiki to replace Evernote for a personal project... one big thing missing into Dokuwiki is a browser plugin that would allow to clip text/images/videos and insert it in DokuWiki...
Here is how I see the idea... A plugin for DokuWiki is made up to support connections from the clipper (backend). Then browser plugins are made.
The browser plugins will allows you to add username/password/default namespace and address for multiple dokuwiki (for exemple, I have a hosted wiki and private one hosted on my own computer). So when you click on the clipper icon, it offers you the clip type (Selection, full page, article, screenshot...), then you can select what account to use, what namespace to save it to (by default the default one (ex: clip:datetime), but you can specify a new one to be created(ex: existing:hereissomeclip)). A checkbox to include meta data (source url, date/time...) should also be available.
Clipper should create a new page in the wiki, including images and videos (whenever possible or at least link/embed them). It would allows fast and efficient collection of data for PKB and like database... Clipping the videos would be awesome for offline use of DokuWiki like I do...
Gives your opinion! :)
