turnermm Or better than a custom plugin: with a namespace template: https://www.dokuwiki.org/namespace_templates
steve35711 I'm new to DokuWiki, so far all looks great and easy to use but the most obvious issue that's causing me pain is that the full name I want to call a new page is lost when it is converted to lower case. I understand why this happens and probably can't be changed, but if the original text could be retrieved and used as the first line in the content then that would be perfect. For instance if I want to make a new page called "A_NEW page!!" the search url is "doku.php?do=search&id=A_NEW+page%21%21" - so at this stage it is not lost but the created page is called "a_new_page" and the original text is lost forever. Is there no way I can grab the original page name perhaps from the URL so that I can make the first line in the page: ===== A_NEW page!! ===== Thanks
steve35711 Thanks but no. It seems that setting picks up whatever first heading is already there and uses that when displaying the page name in other places. I'm after a way to set the first heading in the first place, at the point of creating a new page I want the first heading to be equal to the actual unaltered page name, not a lower case one, and not a 'guess work one' or capitalising every first letter. Seems such an obvious thing!
turnermm Apart from inserting the page name into a heading at the top of your page, which most likely could be be done with a plugin, you won't get what else you seem to want: https://www.dokuwiki.org/pagename
