plektron I set up a DokuWiki on intranet level for our company. In the data/media directory I inserted a symbolic link to an unc path for easy access to software and word documents through the media manager. Now that works but only if there are no whitespaces in the underlying folder/file path. Is there a workaround? From what I know I could also use those samba share links but since those wont directly open the file or path under mozilla/chrome/edge I find them inconvenient. If someone got fixes or any better ideas I'm all open ears. Cheers! Andy
klap-in Please share an example of your syntax. The syntax page shows this example: https://www.dokuwiki.org/wiki:syntax#windows_shares Windows Shares like [[\\server\share|this]] are recognized, too.
plektron I know about the Window Share Links but as I said, I find them inconvenient because they don't open automatically in mozilla/chrome/edge. Is there maybe a workaround for this without setting up each and every browser to accept the link? What I did was built a symbolic link through windows cmd like so: Mklink /D "D:\FilePathToMediaDirectory" "\\Server\FilePathWhereStuffActuallyIs" This gives easy access through the media manager and admins can link files pretty fast for download, but only for filepaths without whitespaces.
