I have a copy of DW under one domain (we'll call it "ABC") and another copy, just installed, under a different domain ("XYZ"). Both wikis are set up under subdomains.
Both installations have, far as I can see, identical configuration options. That said, when I enter the URL for the older wiki (wiki.abc.com), that URL expands to:
wiki.abc.com/doku.php?id=wikiname:wikiname-introduction#
When I enter the URL for the newer wiki (wiki.xyz.com), that URL expands to:
wiki.xyz.com/doku.php
Importantly, the first (older) URL results in the DW login page being displayed, as I would expect and as I want. However, in the second case, the URL results in a page that says "This topic does not exist yet." To see the login page, I have to click the Login link at top right. This is NOT what I want and, frankly, it's more or less an irrational behavior. Moreover, content in the wiki is visible without needing to sign in.
So, how do I force DW to display the login page as the very first page, like the older wiki does? What have I missed during setup of the second, newer wiki? Both wikis, by the way, are latest release.
Perhaps when I did the install of the newer version I mis-clicked and made it a Public Wiki and not a Closed Wiki (in which current behavior sort of makes sense)? If so, how do I change it to a closed one?
On a related subject, with the first wiki, which is a closed one, before any credentials are entered and authenticated, I can click on Site Map, get the site map, and then navigate the structure of the site map. I can't see individual topics, but I can see their titles, which I consider to be a potential breach of security. Is there any way of preventing ANYTHING content-related from being seen until after credentials have been entered and authenticated?
Thanks for any insights or help you can provide!
