tony I have been trying out different to markdown converters and markdown editors and when I copy their output to Dokuwiki, I noticed that a lot of text are put inside boxes. They are not shown in boxes in the other editors. I don't know what flavor of markdown Dokuwiki is using but it's pretty fussy about the spaces infront of any text and it likes to put text which are prefixed with 1+ spaces in a box. Is there a setting to make this feature more relaxed? Or can I switch to a more flexible markdown flavor which is more similar to standard markdown flavors out there?
turnermm As Andi pointed out in the previous post, Dokuwiki doesn't use markdown. What you are probably seeing are code blocks which Dokuwiki creates for element indented two or more spaces,
tony If Dokuwiki is not using Markdown what is it using? I see many Markdown similarities. Maybe Dokuwiki uses a slightly different flavor but to say it's not using Markdown surprises me. Is there an extension to make it use standard Markdown. I am starting to feel this is might not be the right wiki software for me.
turnermm I think this has been answered: https://forum.dokuwiki.org/thread/14457 But I recall that there are some markdown plugins which you might want to try.
