cjohnsonuk We maintain a record of all of the settings from one of our systems within the wiki to 1) give visibility to those that don't have access to the system directly 2) give a record of the changes made 3) notify users of changes 4) record a managers edit after the page was updated as approval of the change The system can export its settings as a CSV. I'm going to write some code to turn this into wiki mark up with the additional layout required for the page. I need to update this into the wiki so that it records a history and is created as a new page / edited page so that those subscribed to the page get notifications. Is there a worked through example of how to add/update pages programmatically?
schplurtz Hi, DokuWiki has an xmlrpc API to manipulate pages and media. Have a look at XML-RPC.; there are examples for several computer language. I think you only need to use the dokuwiki.login[/m] and [m]wiki.putPage methods.
cjohnsonuk Thanks. I'd taken a quick look but was hoping for a few worked examples which google seemed reluctant to find for me ;-) I'll take another look and see how i get on
