sandra Hi, love the software.♥♥♥ A lot of scripts on the tips page are about converting from other doc systems / wikis etc to DokuWiki's format, and that part, we've got covered. We can get text files in DokuWiki's format easily. However, the newly added pages (of course) don't show up on Recent Changes. Our site is built around Recent Changes as the main navigation hub. (People can see what's being added, changed etc.) What's the best practice for adding manually added or edited text files in the pages hierachy (we use a lot of name spaces) to Recent Changes? I've experimented a bit with meta/*.changes files but not sure if I'm doing something wrong because they haven't shown up. Bonus if there's a way to also properly takes handles the Version History stuff for that page, especially for edited pages (i.e. when someone on our team bulk downloads a bunch of the txt files, edits them, and re-uploads them). But, showing up in Recent Changes is the core of the question here. (I gave up on getting the xml-rpc stuff to work for now. We have full shell access to the server and it's easier for us to develop directly to that than to set up xml-rpc through all our proxies and stuff.)
sfitcs See the wiki page about DokuWiki Command Line Tools. Once you've updated the index the manually (externally edited, e.g. not using the DokuWiki editor) added files will show in Search results and Recent Changes.
