Subject: Accessing via virtual host makes toolbar icons disappear
Hi All,

Firstly thanks to all the people involved in creating such a great wiki engine. I have just found it a few days ago and currently working on setting it up properly on my nas server.

The problem I have today is I wanted to access the wiki via a virtual host, say wiki.example.com instead of the canonical example.com/dokuwiki/

I have
  * set up the dns record so wiki.example.com points to example.com.
  * Created a Name based virtual server called wiki.example.com, with the document root pointing to /path/dokuwiki

Everything worked fine until I tried to edit a page and found that the edit toolbar icons disappeared. I checked the console of the browser, it said:

bold.png:1 GET https://wiki.example.com/dokuwiki/lib/images/toolbar/bold.png 404 ()

and many such similar errors. Apparently the javascrit code was trying to load the icons still from dokuwiki folder despite that the virtual host has made that folder the web root.

Strangely, the icons don't disapear when the wiki is accessed via http://wiki.example.com (not https://).

Is there any way to correct the configuration so the javascript no longer looks in the wrong folder?

Many thanks

I've only given this a quick glance, but it just may be a caching problem.  Clear out both the browser and dokuwiki caches.  You can do the latter by deleting all folders in data/cache.

Thank you very much - clearing data/cache worked for me! I guess it's caused by the fact that I had been accessing the wiki from https://example.com/dokuwiki/ for a few days before setting up the virtual host. Thanks.
