Hi,
I'm using dokuwiki (on Debian) quite a while and everything is working fine - thanks a lot to all people supporting dokuwiki.
I recently started to configure farms and I have been able to use the farmer's Wiki (server-names server.example.com/dokuwiki) as well as the Wiki from the farm (<IP>/dokuwiki) via the VirtualHost approach.
Since I have only limited access to the domain settings I decided to also try the .htaccess method (e.g. server.example.com/dokuwiki and server.example.com/testwiki).
From reading the farm manual I got the impression that (for whatever reason) the .htaccess approach does to fit to the Debian installation.
All attempts to get the setup running via .htaccess failed (AllowOverride was set to All).
If someone has been able to use farms on Debian via the .htaccess method I would be happy get more information on how to do that.
Manny thanks in advance,
Peter

I could solve the problem by convincing the DNS-Administrator to redirect all subdomains (via wildcard-notation) to my server which gives me the possibility to use the VirtualHost Method. For that reason I do not need the .htaccess method anymore.
However, I still have the impression that the .htaccess approach for farms does to fit to the Debian installation.
