Hi,
I use DW as simple "portfolio", adding one-two pages a month. Frusterick Manners with Arctic Theme, no modifications, no extra plugins installed. Few days ago some of sites (including start page) stopped to show. TXT files still exist in data directory, I can download/view/edit them via FTP and whole text is in files.
What could happen?

Check to make sure the text files have the correct (read) permissions in the file system and that the file names are suitable for Dokuwiki (the txt files need to be lowercase_underscores (no spaces or capital letters).
Note: files go in /data/pages not /data/ so if they're in data move them into pages so Dokuwiki can see them.
If you edited them make sure the editor is saving them in the correct (UTF-8) encoding.

Thanks. All text files have the same permissions, all have lowercase_underscores names. But pages that were displayed for months or years, most of them not edited since then, now don't display - I get "create page" button instead. That happened with some given pages as well as whole namespaces. About 30% ofmy Wiki stopped to be shown.

Is there any particular characteristic that the "ghost" files share? Perhaps if there's some sort of pattern?

What does stopped to show mean exactly? Is the page just empty that means really only the page content is missing. Or is more missing, e.g. the buttons for "Edit", "Old revisions" etc... too.
In the later case it could be that there is a PHP error. Then you should check your logs.

Thanks for help, and for detailed help questions.
I just get blank pages. Like I have created new ones by making link to nonexistent page. There are all buttons like "edit" etc. Today all pages disappeared. I can only View some of them by "Old revisions". I will try to install new DW in other directory and copy my pages to new instance.

Are the "ghost pages" blank when you visit them or just missing from the searches? If the latter, you may just need to rebulid the search index (via command line or using the search index rebuild plugin).

When I visit them from links. The last that appeared, was sidebar. Now whole Wiki is blank.

Solved... My hosting was full and DW couldn't run normally. Afrer removing 50MB of stuff from hosting, wiki riuns as always. With 10MB of free space on hosting DW ran as I described few days ago.

I suppose the wiki was trying to cache pages to display them efficiently, but there was no room for the cache files to be created.
Perhaps it might be time to shop for a new web host that offers more generous storage space?
