Hello,
I'm a new user. Reading the wiki manual I have found:
"You may enter the name of a new page directly in the search field, and click the “Search” button and create the new page from the link in the description of the results page. The new page will be named after your query."
So I believed that inserting colon into page name i.e. 'newcategory:pagename' in the search box, I could create a new category and the new page at the same time.
Instead, I receive request to create the new page with the page name: 'newcategory_pagename' in the root.
So the question is: can I create categories and pages at the same time using the search box?
Note that by inserting a link in a page this works: [[newcategory:pagename]].
Thanks for support.

Hi Angelo,
using links in the page is usually the optimal way to create new pages because, like the documentation explains, this prevents orphaned pages.
However, if you want to create the page from the search, you can use quotes to mark your search string as exact: "newcategory:pagename"
Otherwise, the search will treat this as two separate words.
Nevertheless and since this complaint turned up more often since the release of Greebo, an adjustment was made to the code that will treat search queries that are also valid pagenames as-is and suggest them back in the link for the new pagename. I expect this to be part of the upcoming hotfix for Greebo.
