maudman Hi All: Totally new here and recently discovered DokuWiki while researching personal wiki's that might become an Evernote replacement for me. I especially love that DokuWiki stores everything in plain text since making sure my data is "future proof" is one of my goals. Anyway, I've been looking for examples of other sites that run DokuWiki for their entire site, not just as a subdomain or page off their site. I'm currently using Wordpress for my personal website, but haven't done anything meaningful with it for a long time. I'm curious as to the feasibility of just replacing Wordpress altogether with DokuWiki. Is there anything special that needs to be done to run DokuWiki this way? Do I just install it at the root of my site and that's pretty much it, or is there more to it? Any examples of other websites that do this would be appreciated (except for the obvious one -- dokuwiki.org). Thanks in advance! Dave (MaudMan)
lpaulsen93 Did you see the list under https://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuinstall? Maybe you find some nice examples there.
maudman I guess I was hoping to hear from a few folks here who actually switched from using Wordpress to DokuWiki for their entire site. Pros, cons, etc...? :) Just from the playing around I've done setting up a public and a private wiki on my personal site, I really like it. I especially LOVE that everything is stored in plain text, which makes it future-proof as opposed to everything I store in Evernote now.
