sammax1212 This is my first coop doing coding I'm tasked with optimizing the wiki. Essentially my boss wants me to make it easier for our design team to locate stuff in the wiki.. That being said I am currently trying to get the IT dude to add a keywords plugin to our current wiki, I think that could help the team find important info quicker! If they only need to search the "Engineering & Design" portion of the wiki could I place all of the namespaces involving "Engineering & Design" into one namespace called; lets say "EnD"? Do you think that would increase search relevance? This community is great; my boss originally wanted me to change it to a mediawiki but I think dokuwiki is the WTG!:)
turnermm There is a built-in syntax for restricting searches to a namespace: https://www.dokuwiki.org/search#search_within_a_namespace Also see https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:searchform. You can get a search box pre-configured to open in a set namesapce.
sammax1212 Thank you very much! I now understand that it will make it worlds quicker.. The only thing is none of our namespaces for EDS are grouped they are all just random namespaces that arent linked to any (besides the green link on a main page) I want to be able to add these to a new namespace which would be called "Engineering Design Information" so they will be in a seperate part of our wiki is this possible? I'm assuming I'll need to speak to my IT guy aka the admin.
sammax1212 Great news, Now that I have created a main EDS namespace I can properly search with @EDS which is awesome:) Now i need to move the 100+ pages to this, any good plugins that can move namespaces?
