Subject: [Fixed] How "easy" import thousands of htmls and/or xmls (txt-files via pdf, render with regex replace)
Valued team and dokuwiki specialist,

Trusting that is welcome to ask:

Is there a way, does anybody know a "easy" possibility to get thousands of html files and xml files into dokuwike as pages?

The local tools in regard of specially multi-page modifying are very limited, nearly zero.

Converting the content, when placed proper, with such as regex-plugins seems to be possible, later on.

Appreciation in advanced
(pardon if question would already be answered, could not find any matching the issue, probably missing specific vocabulary)

Appreciation for hospitality, Mr. Christoph,

My person came once along this page, yes. Being given "just" a small tablet with some free tools, dwelling in a cave in remote forest with slow internet connection, usual multi page ways aside of inbuild tool are not accessable and such as db-skills equal zero.

Naive question: would it be possible to copy txt files into the dokuwiki sphere via ftp?

With the regex-tool (just missing multiselect of checkboxes) edits could be made one by one.

That shouldn‘t be a problem. The wiki-pages are stored in the directory data/pages when you access with a ftp-client.

Be sure to use only lowercase filenames which have no spaces (use _ instead) or special characters like äöü or ß. Otherwise the pages won‘t be found by DokuWiki.

Wonderful, Mr Christoph,

if dokowikis system recognize new files without "manual commands and new file trees.

Now, then, there is just to figure out how to multicheck the boxes in BatchEdit Plugin.

It's a beggars "delight" being given your sacrifices here. And any thought in your works here, dedicated to release have found it's destiny.

Sympathetic joy with your merits and appreciation!

First testing worked fine, so far, in regard of the txt-files, but dokowiki seems not to realice the new folders (maybe because of missing listing-files.

How could the folders/"start"-file be activated?

It seems that if the page is adressed via "sitemap" it come into exjsting. Would this mean to click all "start/index" pages once first in the sitemap.
If adressing the path and page directly if would say that the side does not exist jet (possible overwite it, if progressed in creating).

Edit: all fine, simply wrong spellings in the path, pardon for possible disturbing.
