Subject: Hello from myPlace.wiki
Hi everyone,
I'm Anha Daniel from AU and I have created myPlace.wiki - a wiki to share and discuss about your favourite places with as many details as you can. Its very early in its development and as an enthusiast coder with no experience of dokuwiki, I'm trying my best to get it ready as early as possible. Have a look at below

https://myplace.wiki/

Anyone interested contact via webmaster@myplace.wiki - registration not set up yet (I want to get wiki ready before open to public registration). I will add you manually.

I joined the forum to sort out the hurdles I'm facing currently. Help is much appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

A little over 10 years ago, I had a similar idea:
  http://room535.org/cityscapes/cityscapes/doku.php
It was still early in the life of the Internet, and I found getting participation was somewhat difficult.  But it was that project which introduced me to DokuWiki and led me to explore ways to implement a GUI-style editor, because I wasn't sure that my users would be comfortable using the standard wiki editor.  That eventually resulted in ckgedit, which is generally what DokuWiki admins install when their users need a GUI editing interface.

Best of luck with myPlace.wiki.  It looks very promising.

Thanks turner.. Yaaa for someone with not much idea about dokuwiki, it will be hard. I will be creating all basic Continent->Country->known places pages as time goes on. Thinking of creating guide page and FAQ etc.
