Instructions you cite are given for a redhatish linux web server that runs apache and
authenticates users against a windows AD. If you don't use redhat/centos/fedora,
the directories could be something else. for example under debian and its derivative,
the directory will be /etc/apache2. Other linux distributions could use something
completely different. You have to adapt the instructions to your linux distro.

You have to copy the file onto the linux server in an existing directory.
If the directory does not exist, it means you don't use the same distro as the
one used in the doc (or that you don't use apache). You must find the correct
directory for your linux distribution. You also have to adapt the configuration
file content given in (8), as well as the file location.

Bei mir kommt immer die Meldung, dass dieser Service nicht gefunden wurde.
The service name depends on the distro you use. Redhatish distros use
httpd[/m]. debianish use [m]apache2[/m]. so try [m]service apache2 restart .
Other distros might use something else.
