I have a private wiki. There is some content that is available to everyone with just common single login.
- will only have read access to select content
- cannot change their password
- cannot change their username or email
How would you restrict selected registered user(s) from changing their profile (Restrict access to start?do=profile) or password?

The tplmod plugin will do this for you. It will not only remove the template link but can also prevent users from getting around this by adding do=profile to the url.

Or you could simply turn it off for all users in the configuration manager under Disable DokuWiki actions. This would eliminate all access to the profile configuration application. With tplmod, users with higher acl permissions than the base permissions can access it vi url (do=profile).

Thank You Myron for this information
Is there a way to restrict only SELECTED registered users?
For example: Only registered username: "mailroom", is restricted in accessing their profile page (change password, name, email address etc)
Everyone else can have access to their own profile.
