The name "backlink" may be not as clear as "What links here" (like in MediaWiki), but on the other hand it becomes clear as soon as you click on it (because it is explained on that page).
My reaction as a first-time user was confusion - I imagine the same would happen for others, so maybe a good idea to adjust the default template for best usability?
I think the user should be clear where a link goes without needing to click it first. As before, when a link says e.g. [[home]] - I expect it to take me to 'home', not to 'pages that link to home'.
One reason I chose DokuWiki over all others is the clean, simple design - this one design element of the default template should be changed IMHO.
