Subject: Local server-Bitunami Dokuwiki Stack: User Error edited config/dokuwiki.php
Now I get
Forbidden -  You don't have permission to access /C:/Bitnami/dokuwiki-20180422a-2/apps/dokuwiki/data/doku.php on this server.
I have tried reinstalling the wiki backup download to C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2\apps\dokuwiki
That does nothing.

I have tried editing dokuwiki.php back to original.
I was able to login and get to a dokuwiki screen and admin. but it was not my downloaded configuration for some reason.

Should I remove Bitnami and everything and start again?

Subject: Solved
Uninstalling and reinstalling is easy. Seems to be the best way to fix this.

Started Bitnami Dokuwiki, logged in, went to Admin, and compare Configuration settings to the online version

Changes:
Basic  Start page : opencpn
License: Gnu 1.3https://forum.dokuwiki.org/
savedir: C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2/apps/dokuwiki/htdocs/data  and online=./data
basedir, baseurl, cookiesdir are left blank in both.
toptoclevel   1 online=1
tocminheads 3 online=2
maxtoclevel 3 online=0  (disables toc)
maxseclevel 3 online=3
useheading always   online disable
sneakyindex  unchecked online=checked
hidepages  none online= opencpn:sidebar
manager  not set online= @manager
disable actions none online=check register
proxy>host  none  online= yes (not listed)
proxy>pass  none online= yes (not listed)
Plugiins none  online=yes, many
authldap not configured online=removed
authmysqp not config online=removed
autpdo not config online-removed
authpgsql not config online-removed
smpt  not config online= not present

SAVE (at the bottom)
The opencpn wiki files are still not accessible.
It appears we need to copy at least the config/local.php files over from the download.
I do not want to change
savedir: C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2/apps/dokuwiki/htdocs/data
as that is how I corrupted the first install..

Logging back in locally, the program is still not accessing the Opencpn Dokuwiki files.
I tried copying some of the config files like local.php over, no dice.
So then finally I copied all of the config files over.  still the configuration does not "see" Opencpn files.

I am reluctant to change
savedir: C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2/apps/dokuwiki/htdocs/data
as that is when it failed last time.

Maybe I am supposed to copy all the downloaded files to apps/dokuwiki/htdocs/data !

So I did just that, copied the downloaded backup files and directories
   - config
  - data
  - inc
  - lib
to savedir: C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2/apps/dokuwiki/htdocs/data

Then logged in again locally and the captcha appeared, first good sign, then eventually got to Admin > Configuration and found all the plugins were installed and the ACL and Users were all there as on the website. When I saved and got back out to the beginning page, the OpenCPN documents were all there.

Now I am going to run some local tests on Site Export Plugin

Whoops, there are no selections for Direct, wget and curl at the bottom which means something is missing.

Site Export requires PHP to have libzip enabled, also I do not know if that is installed yet.
Found this note for windows: "As of PHP 5.3 this extension is built-in. Before, Windows users need to enable php_zip.dll inside of php.ini in order to use these functions. "   Also I found php_zip.dll in the php folder.

This is done in the php.ini file  C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2\php

I put a phpinfo.php  file in  C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2\apps\dokuwiki\htdocs
and went to that and
Zip enabled
Zip version     1.13.5
Libzip version     1.1.2

But
zlib.output_compression    Off    Off
zlib.output_compression_level    -1    -1
zlib.output_handler    no value    no value

But
zlib.output_compression    Off    Off
zlib.output_compression_level    -1    -1
zlib.output_handler    no value    no value

"The behaviour of these functions is affected by settings in php.ini.
The zlib extension offers the option to transparently compress your pages on-the-fly, if the requesting browser supports this. Therefore there are three options in the configuration file php.ini. "

I tried setting line 257 of php.ini file
zlib.output_compression = on
and this did not change, so I set it back
zlib.output_compression = off

Here's a short explanation of the configuration directives.

zlib.output_compression boolean/integer

Whether to transparently compress pages. If this option is set to "On" in php.ini or the Apache configuration, pages are compressed if the browser sends an "Accept-Encoding: gzip" or "deflate" header. "Content-Encoding: gzip" (respectively "deflate") and "Vary: Accept-Encoding" headers are added to the output. In runtime, it can be set only before sending any output.

This option also accepts integer values instead of boolean "On"/"Off", using this you can set the output buffer size (default is 4KB).

Note: output_handler must be empty if this is set 'On' ! Instead you must use zlib.output_handler.

zlib.output_compression_level integer

Compression level used for transparent output compression.
zlib.output_handler string

You cannot specify additional output handlers if zlib.output_compression is activated here. This setting does the same as output_handler but in a different order.

There is also an apache config file which can set this stuff, but it is slowly dawning on me that this is a local installation, does that matter with respect to the libz functions?  Also the browser has to support it!!

So we need to make sure the other requirements are met  https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:siteexp…?s[]=site&s[…
dw2pdf plugin for PDF export options  = yes
writable /inc/preload.php file for template switching  = yes
Found writeable preload.php file under apps\dokuwiki\htdocs\inc  this file is from the website wiki
/data/media/wiki dir must exist. load some file for creating it.  =yes
Found it here  C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2\apps\dokuwiki\htdocs\data\media\wiki

But I still get
zlib.output_compression    Off    Off
zlib.output_compression_level    -1    -1
zlib.output_handler    no value    no value

Do I have to set an apache htaccess settting?

Subject: Another clean reinstall to get Site Export working
1. Uninstalled Bitnami again.
2. Removed all subdirectories and files.
3. Rebooted.
4. Installed Bitnami again. Logged into Opencpn Dokuwiki with same user /pw as the website version.
5. Unchecked cloud services.
6. Copied the expanded FTP download Dokuwiki Backup subdirectory and files to

C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2/apps/dokuwiki/htdocs/data

Logged in and went to Admin > Config and Saved. Then the local wiki showed as on the website
However Site Export still does not work.
I have checked the Requirements for Site Export
https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:siteexport
and believe the installation meets those requirements

    DokuWiki version - OK
    - You need to log in as administrator to have access to the siteexport plugin -Yes, admin
    - You have to have the zip compression library of your php installation activated. -yes see below
    - dw2pdf plugin for PDF export options - Yes, that is in the config
    - writable /inc/preload.php file for template switching  - Yes, I believe it is writable (read, write, execute in properties)
    - /data/media/wiki dir must exist. load some file for creating it. - Yes, it does exist

zip
Zip     enabled
Zip version     1.13.5
Libzip version     1.1.2
zlib
ZLib Support    enabled
Stream Wrapper     compress.zlib://
Stream Filter     zlib.inflate, zlib.deflate
Compiled Version     1.2.8
Linked Version     1.2.8
Directive    Local Value    Master Value
zlib.output_compression    Off    Off
zlib.output_compression_level    -1    -1
zlib.output_handler    no value    no value

PROBLEM: Site Export Fails

1. Load an Indexmenu TOC namespace to create an html document
http://127.0.0.1:81/dokuwiki/doku.…?id=opencpn:opencpn_u… http://127.0.0.1:81/dokuwiki/doku.…?id=opencpn:opencpn_u…
or
[http://127.0.0.1:81/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=opencpn:opencpn_user_manual:toc_offline_user_manual|Offline User Manual TOC namespace (automatically generated by Indexmenu0]
2. At the bottom DIRECT, WGET and CURL do not show.3
3. When I try to create a pdf document or static html I get the message

"Finished but download failed. "

Debug is checked on and to go to tmp/siteexport.txt
There is nothing in that file.

This is an identical setup to the website version and the website version does run properly and complete on short jobs.

Changed the path to  to /tmp/siteexport.txt
and not getting a message that it cannot be found now.

However I have tried a number of times to export with Site Exporter with different configurations and settings which normally work, and
I am still getting  "Finished but download failed"

This error must have something to do with the fact that this is a LOCAL server and this function is looking for an external download through the browser.  Is Norton security doing a number on us???  What is causing this??

PS I can make a single page pdf and view it.
No messages in /tmp/siteexport.txt either.

Am I correct that you are installing dokuwiki using the Bitnami package manager?  If so, check the apache config files to determine the document root of the server.  Create a directory there with a name other than dokuwiki. Make it writable by apache. Place the dokuwiki downloader into that directory and use it to install dokuwiki.  This will free you from the tangle of the package manager's directory structure.

Subject: Installed Dokuwiki on a Stick - got it working.
Myron,

I loaded the downloaded dokuwiki files and dokuwikionastick and got it working on the E drive. Site Export did not work on this install either.

Then I
1. reloaded SiteExport,
2. checked php zip was on
3. made new paths and filenames in config for siteexport plugin debug and zip files using MS Windows notation for the pathnames and changed from relative to absolute paths.
It seems to be running now. It has not completed but it is running!

It is slower, but it runs.

Yes, you are correct I am using the Bitnami Package manager with Windows 10. The Opencpn Dokuwiki works locally now.
I had to install it twice to get it fully working. There were no instructions that I could find.
I had to install the downloaded Dokuwiki Opencpn to

C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2\apps\dokuwiki\htdocs\data
and
C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2\apps\dokuwiki\htdocs

NOT TO
C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2\apps\dokuwiki\conf

I'd like now to get SiteExport going in this Bitnami Opencpn version as SiteExport will be much faster.
I am going to try what I did with Dokuonastick.

Your instructions may shed some light:

1. Check the apache config files to determine the document root of the server.
2. Create a directory there with a name other than dokuwiki.
3. Make it writable by apache.
4. Place the dokuwiki downloader into that directory and use it to install dokuwiki.
This will free you from the tangle of the package manager's directory structure.

1.Document Root
# DocumentRoot: The directory out of which you will serve your
# documents. By default, all requests are taken from this directory, but
# symbolic links and aliases may be used to point to other locations.
#
DocumentRoot "C:/Bitnami/dokuwiki-20180422a-2/apache2/htdocs"
<Directory "C:/Bitnami/dokuwiki-20180422a-2/apache2/htdocs">
There is not much there right now!

2. Ok we are using and it works right now. So I am going to stay with it unless I can't fix SiteExport.
C:\Bitnami\dokuwiki-20180422a-2\apps\dokuwiki

3. Make the new dokuwiki folder writeable by Apache - How would I do that with windows? Just a hint please.

4. Ok I can do that, is it just the tz, tar file and expand it?

Thanks for your suggestions. I am going to first try what I did to get siteexport going on dokuwikionastick.
Will keep this posted.

PS: Thanks!

Subject: se-debug.txt file works, but the SiteExport html file "se-html.zip" is not there.
Tried a one page export to speed things up.  It processed and completed normally.

"Finished Download"

The se-debug.txt and se-html.zip file is not there and is unavailable.

Subject: Windows File Permissions causing the Problem?
While puzzling about this problem, I noticed that File Manager Right click Properties on folders and files
and it shows  Read Only.  I had not noticed this before.

When I use  WIN10 File Manager to undo Read Only on all files and folders, it immediately comes back!

Then read about this and from the Powershell

E:\DokuWikiStick\dokuwiki>attrib -r -s e:\DokuWikiStick\dokuwiki\data

Which I did, then  I checked from the File manage it is still shows Read Only.
Welcome to windows.

Is this the problem with Site Explorer?
How would I fix this?

In almost 40 years of using dos/win I have always had an ambivalent love/hate about file attributes and wished that the tools and processes were more explicit like linux.  Linux forced me to learn that permissions are associated with users too.. But Windows tries to bury it all and keep this away from users.  Is this the problem?

Or is it as "Simple" as my Damn Norton Security is trying to protect me?

Groping in the dark is no fun.  I am about to go back to bitnami and see if I can fix that one.  This has been 4 days off and on trying to get this working with SiteExport properly. Hasn't anyone else done this?  I am not inclined to be an alpha tester. I did that for 10 years already.

Subject: It is not Norton Security
Disconnected from the internet and turned off Norton Security.
A single page SiteExport still results in

"Finished but Download Failed"

So now I am starting to think, that is trying to download to my browser as it would do normally if it were a webserver on the internet, and it should pop up in  my Browser and prompt me to save. I've looked at my browser download history and found no clues yet. Perhaps Firefox has a debug.log that would show something.

I now know it is not Norton causing the problem, but I am still suspicious of this Windows Read only issue.

This should be simple. It is not.

I'm not faithfully following all the details of the process and am not familiar with the plugin's internals; in particular, I'm not sure where these various urls come into play.  In any event, I have a suggestion which might help you to determined whether the problem is with siteexport or some windows/norton, etc. issue.

Install the epub plugin and create an ebook.  It's pretty straight-forward. You create the block an insert page ids:
<epub:Book-1>
id-1
id-2
.
.

</epub>
If you can create the ebook and download it from your site, then the problem is with the way windows sees the result of the site export process.

Looks like my cachetime isn't adequate.  I expect that is in php or perhaps  Admin>config.

Will do pronto.

You should find cache expiry settings in php.ini
