Subject: Continue indentend bullet point list after a bullet point list at second level
Hi,
I have the following question:

I want to create a two-leveled bullet point list and add a second level in the middle, as such

  * Bullet Point Level 1, first line
  * Bullet Point Level 1, first line
     Bullet Point Level 1, second line
    * Bullet Point Level 2
    * Bullet Point Level 2
     Bullet Point Level 1, third line
  * Bullet Point Level 1, first line

Is this possible ? Can I go back one level ?

Thanks in advance !

What you can do, is this wiki code:

  * Bullet Point Level 1, first line
  * Bullet Point Level 1, first line \\ Bullet Point Level 1, second line
    * Bullet Point Level 2
    * Bullet Point Level 2
  * Bullet Point Level 1, first line

Result see below.

But as far as I know, for your "Bullet Point Level 1, third line" there is no HTML equivalent. Therefore, you can not implement this in DokuWiki. (With a certain effort and tricky CSS maybe a simulation of it.) Edit: @pop presents such a simulation - see below.

Aside of Mr. Michaels advice, using the standards, the plugins yalist Plugin (experience; would give additional paragraph if using .. or ...) and others there might be of use.

Hi Samana Johann,
if you are familiar with the Yalist plugin, can you please give us the method to realize geos' goal?

May it be of use for good undertakings: yalist-samples incl. Task by Geos. (nesting works fine)

Nesting would not work (like asked in the OP) with standard means of DW, even not in "just" visible form (5. line of the op-sample is the issue).

If it does not have to be elegant, the following appears to work, after a fashion:
  * outer 1a
  * outer 1b
    * inner 2a
    * inner 2b\\ <wrap outdent>outer 1c</wrap>
  * outer 2c

which renders as follows:

@pop Thanks for this little trick.

For completion: Requires the Wrap plugin which allows the <wrap>...</wrap> syntax and comes with the wrap_outdent class.

This is such a simulation of which I wrote above, but a lot easier than I thought.

@goes Can you please put [Solved] in the title?

Until next time - Michael Sy.

to add (althought only for dl-list and not tested for now, fearing the very liberal syntax a little): dl-plugin seems to serve with almost all standard html-renderings of lists.
https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:dl
...and you can have any other element nested inside the. -definition list
- including lists
- and the definition list itself

there are also a lot of other generously provided similar plugins.
